About Red Ledges
- Red Ledges has 1,200 homesites across 2,000 acres, with about 500 homes completed and about 90 more in design review or under construction [Red Ledges].
- Its single-family design guidelines cap driveways at 15 feet wide (with a Fire District exception for long driveways) and encourage concrete, concrete pavers and natural pavers. Uncolored smooth concrete is not allowed, and asphalt needs colored concrete ribbons [Red Ledges Design Guidelines (Tenth Edition, 2023)].
- The guidelines say all driveways and parking should be designed with snow shed and snow storage in mind [Red Ledges Design Guidelines (Tenth Edition, 2023)].
Snow-melt for new builds here
Because Red Ledges encourages pavers and colored or patterned concrete, an installer has to plan snow-melt around the chosen surface. Electric or hydronic systems can go under pavers as well as concrete. Confirm details with the Red Ledges design committee.
